The Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) will hold this year’s Management Day on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at its secretariat in Victoria Island, Lagos.
A statement issued by the President and Chairman of Council, NIM, Dr. Michael Olawale-Cole, said the theme paper entitled, ‘Good governance: Enforcement of law and order’, will be presented by a public affairs analyst and legal luminary, Prof. Itse Sagay, SAN.
The Management Day, which holds every second Tuesday in April, is an initiative of the institute and is meant to celebrate the ideals and tenets of the management profession in Nigeria.
Olawale-Cole said, “The idea of the Management Day was initiated and kick-started in 2011 as a day to celebrate the ideals and tenets of the management profession and the Nigerian manager.
“The day is equally set aside to x-ray the challenges that the manager faces in the effective discharge of his day-to-day functions in the work place; and solutions are proffered on the best way he can go about his duties in line with international best management practices in order to achieve set goals and targets.”
