
A new motorcycle brand, Mahindra Arro, has been unveiled in Nigeria, according to a statement from the company.
Mahindra Arro motorcycle was unveiled by His Excellency, the High Commissioner of India, Mr. A.R. Ghanashyam, at an inauguration ceremony in Lagos recently.
The occasion was graced by the OniSango of Sango, Ogun State, Oba Oluwagboun Adebayo.
It also had in attendance, personalities from the trade and industry sector as well as other dignitaries.
During the launch, the Managing Director, VIP Merchandise Enterprises Limited, distributors of Mahindra two-wheelers in Nigeria, Mr. A.S.R Murthy, said the brand was widely appreciated and accepted as a challenger to the popular motorcycles in the 100-110cc segment.
He expressed confidence that with its network, strong customer base, professional team and proven ability in two-wheeler business, the firm was well equipped to establish brand Mahindra in Nigeria.
He said, “The Mahindra Arro has been extensively tested to suit African driving conditions.
“With its hard-core ruggedness, stunning new design and advanced, powerful and efficient engine, the Mahindra Arro is a motorcycle that is built to understand and respect the spirit of Nigeria and Africa.
“The Mahindra Arro has been specially built to offer more than any other motorbike. It is stronger, faster and safer with a host of unique features and a sleek design.
To top it all, the Mahindra Arro is being offered at a very competitive introductory price.
VIP Merchandise Enterprises Ltd has set up Motorcycle assembly plants in Sango Ota in the South and Kano in the North and has dedicated facilities for sales, service and spares and also training centres for mechanics and riders both in Lagos and Kano.
