Bajaj Auto Limited has commenced its second round of free technical check-up for its three wheelers nationwide.
The first round took place last year.
A company statement said the auto firm was planning to reach out to 20,000 three-wheeler clients across major cities in Nigeria.
The programme, tagged Service Camp, is designed to ensure continued road worthiness for its vehicles, according to Bajaj’s Deputy General Manager, Sales, Mr. Dhiraj Tripathi.
He said till date, over 10,000 three-wheeler customers across six locations in North, Central and East had benefitted from the free service and that that programme would continue in the East and Lagos regions.
“We have organised extensive training sessions for mechanics across Nigeria, developing their skills on maintenance of three-wheelers,” he added.
Till date, Bajaj Auto has trained more than 1,000 technicians at around 30 locations. Tripathi also emphasised that more of such trainings would also be conducted in the year also at more locations.
The company is also establishing a wide retail network for Bajaj’s genuine spare parts across Nigeria in order to support the after sales activities.
The statement quoted the General Manager, DAG Motorcycles Nigeria Limited, the distributors of RE-205 three-wheelers in Nigeria, Mr. Mr. Avinash, as saying that the “camp has enabled us to drive home the importance of periodic service among our customers.”
