An indigenous company, Morpheus Online Business Services, has inaugurated an e-commerce platform in Lagos.
According to a statement by the company, the platform buyam.com.ng is aimed at alleviating the stress ‘shoppers’ encounter while trying to meet their needs.
Managing Director of the company, Emeka Mordi, said the company was excited about the platform and the opportunities it presents Nigerian stores to leverage on e-commerce as a way to grow their business without the usual prohibitive associated cost.
He said the platform would be an avenue to buy wide range of products online at great prices for the teeming population of Nigerians.
Giving further insight into the platform, Mordi said a lot of Nigerians would want to do their shopping online but were hesitant because of the usual issues of online fraud, security, product quality and general service quality.
“These are issues we believe are unfortunately genuine. That is why we have designed a platform that makes it possible for them to buy from stores they already know and trust rather than from a ‘faceless Internet store,” he said.
He added that the overall objective of buyam.com.ng was to be the go-to-source for quality products at the most pocket friendly prices.
