The E-Class is easily the most important car from the stable of Mercedes-Benz, going by the considerable attention and mention it enjoys from the manufacturer, reviewers and lovers of luxury vehicles
As an outstanding model, it generates the largest profit and spans the most derivatives: saloon, estate, cabriolet and coupé, notes the Telegraph, in its latest review of the vehicle.
According to Weststar Associates, Mercedes-Benz has once again proven itself with the new E-Class, which is unique for its recurring harmonising theme and a variety of engines to satisfy every driver’s needs.
The manufacturer, it says, has not only bested its outstanding E-Class predecessor, but set another benchmark in the automobile industry.
It satisfies the high taste of the Mercedes Benz customers – their classy, stylish and luxurious desires.
The 2013 model provides sporty refinement for short distance pleasure; just as businesspeople on long distance travel will enjoy its range of interior colours and exterior metallic, non metallic and special paints, thus creating the ideal accessory for all occasions.
The firm lists the vehicle’s other exceptional features as attractive aluminum trim; standard fit LED headlamps, eye turning interior highlights, showing a three-tube instrument cluster and a centre console with an analogue clock.
Design
It is built with pronounced aesthetics, palpable ergonomics, centrally positioned star and the two-louvre radiator grille, which help to create a powerful and dynamic exterior.
Safety
In the new E-Class, Mercedes-Benz says it has combined active and passive sophisticated systems technology for maximum protection.
The optional Break Assist System features Intersection Assist and Pedestrian detection, which identify danger at the front and side of the car.
Its optional Active Lane Keeping detects potentially hazardous oncoming traffic as well as lane markings.
It also comes with a Standard Collision Prevention Assist designed to prevent rear-end collision when getting too close to the vehicle in front.
Other safety features are Adaptive High beam Assist (optional); nine airbags; Distronic Plus adaptive cruise control with steering assistant system; and Active Blind Spot Assist (optional).
Interior
The exclusive package makes the high quality interior even more palpably refined and visibly distinctive.
For the comfort of all occupants of the new E-Class, the manufacturer provides multi-contour seats with massages and dynamic handling function; electromechanical direct-steering system for enhanced steering comfort (standard); Audio 20 CD based on new telematics generation (standard); Becker MAP Pilot navigation module for Audio 20 CD (optional); and the Web-enabled command online multimedia system with hard disc navigation and high resolution colour display; hands-free access, which is foot operated automatic opening of the boot lid.
It also has a parallel and perpendicular parking system, which is practically automatic, thanks to the Park Assist (optional).
The cameras monitor the area around the car and show potential obstacles as seen from above on the central display.
And with the available digital reversing camera (optional), the display shows moving pictures that use dynamic guidance lines to assist with maneuvering. These offer the convenience of easy parking.
Mercedes-Benz is known for its desire to satisfy the varying needs of drivers.
Exterior
The exterior package gives the E-Class a notable sporty aura. It comprises the exterior elements from the Advantgarde design/equipment line; five-suspension unit; perforated front brake discs and brake callipers with Mercedes-Benz lettering. To further emphasise the sporty sensation and individuality of the E-Class saloon, the AMG Sports Package provides a number of carefully coordinated exterior and interior features.
The package offers palpably enhanced driving dynamics for the driver and the passengers, as well as distinct visual highlights when viewed from any angle.
The AMG body-styling has been extensively modified since the predecessor model and now features a new front apron with a chromed insert, and three large cooling air intakes.
