Edo State has become the first state in the country to have officially subscribed to the Nigerian Employees Digital Welfare Scheme, a digital equipment ownership scheme initiated by Buyright Africa.

As such, the public servants in Benin, capital of Edo State, now have access to digital equipment, ranging from laptops to phones and household appliances, from Buyright Africa.

A statement on Friday said the adoption in Edo State was in line with the promise made by Buyright Africa’s Managing Director, Mr. Mukoro Emomine, to the state Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, during the national inauguration of NEDWS in Abuja.

The Executive Director, Directorate of Information Technology, Edo State, Ms. Yemi Keri, was quoted as promising to extend the opportunity of owning genuine quality products with a convenient payment plan to the teachers and every ministry in the state.

According to her, the programmers will design a registration form that will be hosted on the state’s website to enable intending beneficiaries complete the form and select any product of their choice.
