DatagroupIT and Hp Enterprise Security have said they will focus on governments.

They said this at a customer workshop for their new and existing customers held in Lagos on Thursday.

They maintained that the business relationship between DataGroupIT and HP Enterprise Security as well as the HP Enterprise Security Product portfolio was targeted at meeting the needs of the customers in the ever-evolving technology market.

Speaking at the forum, the Country Manager, Nigeria and Ghana, DataGroupIT, Mr. Victor Ajua, said the company was currently servicing the financial services, oil and gas and telecoms sector. He said the company was also hosting smaller industries on its platform.

Ajua, who admitted that every country had its business peculiarities, described the Nigerian market as massive, but noted that issues bordering on infrastructure and connectivity were part of the business’ challenges.

“In terms of the private sector, we have done very well, but there are still rooms to do better,” he added.

Also speaking on the business, the Regional Sales Manager, Africa, HP Enterprise Security products, Mr. Dale Powers, described Nigeria as the biggest market in sub-Saharan Africa.

According to him, the next big move of the business will be coming from the government cycles.

He described patronage from government as slower compared to the private sector, but expressed optimism that the market was going to develop.
