Lucky Fibres Plc, makers of Nobel premium brand of carpets and rugs has been awarded Best-kept Industrial Premises 2013 by the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria.
A gold medal was recently presented to Lucky Fibres Plc at MAN complex in Lagos following the environmental assessment of the factory premises conducted by the association’s environmental committee.
According to Chairman, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Ikeja Branch, Mr. Isaac Agoye, Lucky Fibres was able to meet the requirements and criteria of the association committee and has been awarded the gold medal in recognition of its achievement.
He further explained that as a result of this award, it automatically puts the company in a strong position to compete at the final stage of the competition scheduled for August 2013.
Speaking on the reason for the award, he said adhering to environmental standards set by regulatory bodies was key to the success of manufacturing companies as MAN, in collaboration with other environmental agencies deemed it fit to conduct assessment of the environmental state of members’ factory and reward members, who adhere to the strict standards accordingly.
Responding after receiving the award, the General Manager, Lucky Fibres Plc, Mr. Kunal Malhotra, said the company had won the gold medal award consistently since 2008 and hopes to win the grand trophy again at the final stage of the competition coming up in August, 2013.
