Information Technology company, Resourcery Plc, has signed a major partnership agreement with AirWatch, a global player in mobile security and enterprise mobility management.

In a statement on Monday, the Executive Director, Business Solutions, Resourcery, Mr. Uzo Obi, said the partnership further confirmed Resourcery’s resolve to fully embrace the third platform of the information technology business.

It also attests to the company’s growing influence in the West African region as it continues to attract global IT leaders as strategic business partners, he added.

Obi was quoted as saying, “As the global IT ecosystem shifts into smart connected devices, broadband, social technologies, cloud and big data, there is the need to help our customers to prepare for the huge opportunity that is available.

“This partnership with AirWatch is a further confirmation of our preparedness to deliver quality services to our customers through simplified enterprise mobility management.”

The Business Solutions Manager (Data Security), Resourcery, Mr. Adewale Oniyide, was also quoted as saying, “As AirWatch reseller partner, we have demonstrated that we have the strategic presence in the enterprise mobility marketplace needed to secure this level of partnership.

“We pride ourselves as an IT services company that thrives on the quality delivery of services to our customers. This partnership represents another opportunity to provide business solutions to our customers.”

Oniyide said the introduction of smartphones and tablets into the consumer market had led to an increase in the presence of personal mobile devices in the workplace.

Coping with and securing these devices, he added, could be an overwhelming task for IT departments in most organisations.

“Our partnership with AirWatch would help to provide business solutions to these technology challenges,” he added.

The Managing Director, AirWatch (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), Mr. Ian Evans, was quoted in the statement as saying, “AirWatch’s mission is to simplify enterprise mobility and develop solutions that enable companies to focus on innovative uses of mobile technology.

“We are excited to enter the West African region and are looking forward to working with Resourcery in this important marketplace.”
