Telecommunications service provider, Airtel Nigeria, and Infinix Mobility, a global player in the manufacturing of trendy smartphones, are partnering to provide Nigerians Internet access via state-of-the-art smartphones.
The smartphones named Race Max Q and Race Bolt Q were recently unveiled to the world in Monaco, France and are now available to Nigerians, who desire trendy features and attractive physical outlook for their phones, according to Infinix Mobility in a statement made available to our correspondent on Monday.
Both phones are equally bundled with 500MB free data for six months from Airtel to further delight customers with fast and efficient Internet access through its widest 3.75G network, the statement explained.
The Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Deepak Srivastava, was quoted as saying that the collaboration by both companies was another milestone in the quest to provide Nigerians with quality telecommunications service.
He said, “We are a company interested in ‘best in class’ communication solutions for Nigerians. We have blazed so many trails in the telecommunications industry in Nigeria and this partnership further buttresses that point.
“Our choice of Infinix Mobility is based on its unassailable track record as a reputable device manufacturer. This clearly demonstrates our resolve to always be in the forefront of technological innovations as far as delivering quality service to our customers is concerned.”
The Co-founder of Infinix Mobility, Mr. Benjamin, said, “We’re very glad to have partners like Airtel, who is one of the leaders in this industry. This collaboration will ensure that our end users get more benefits from the great 3.75G network through the great 3G smartphones.”
The Vice-President, Infinix Mobility, Mr. Jean-Alexis, said the need to satisfy trendy and fashionable phone users across the world, especially in Nigeria, was the driving force behind the manufacturing of the two phones.
“There are many smartphone brands in the market, but despite this, we identified a gap that we plan to fill with these phones. We discovered that the trendy phone users were not being adequately taken care of, bearing in mind their personality, needs and characteristics. That’s the reason we are introducing RACE Max Q and RACE Bolt Q into the Nigerian market for the trendy customers,” he said.
