As competition in the Nigerian automobile industry gets tougher, Elizade Nigeria Limited is exploring different options to stay atop the sales table in all segments of the market.
It recently called all its fleet customers/managers to a forum in Lagos for a training session and discussion on how the Toyota vehicle dealership could serve them better.
It was held under the congenial ambiance of the Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja.
The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Ademola Ade-Ojo, said as a leader in the industry, it had to continue to seek ways to remain relevant in the scheme of things, noting that “the challenge of leadership is daunting.”
Ade-Ojo, who was represented by Mr. Olu Tikolo, said, “We do not pretend that we know it all. We, therefore, value contributions from our customers as our constructive engagements over the years have helped us in no small measure to remain very relevant and stay at the top of our sector of the economy.”
The auto firm, which recently rolled out the drums to celebrate its 40+1 years, had also held a two day seminal for drivers of Toyota vehicles, especially its corporate customers and individuals.
Ade-Ojo, describing the relationship as symbiotic, said,“We need you to offer us opportunity to serve you better. We would also provide you fresh insights into how you can derive optimum utility from your premium brand, the Toyota.”
Resource persons from the Lagos State University, the State Traffic Management Authority and the State Vehicle Inspection Office took the participants at the forum through lessons on techniques in fleet management; standard safe practices for vehicle operation; while an in-house specialist educated the people about Elizade processes and the new vehicle features.
Meanwhile, the auto firm says it has increased its showroom and after-sale centres to 12 locations across the country.
A statement by the company on Tuesday said five of the locations are in Lagos; one in Abuja, Akure and Ibadan.
The four others in the South-South and the South East could be found in Port Harcourt, Uyo, Asaba and Umuahia.
It also hinted of plans to establish three service centres in the North, adding, “Enugu is billed to join the expansion train on or before the first quarter of 2014.”
