Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has stated that taxes and levies payable by companies operating in the state are being harmonised and automated and will soon be published in order to end the problem of multiple taxation once and for all.
He said his government had invested massively in road construction, power, security, environment, human capital as well as land reforms in order to turn the state into the industrial hub of the country.
Amosun disclosed this on Thursday in Abeokuta during a breakfast meeting with existing and potential investors in Ogun State at the Government House, Oke-Igbein, Abeokuta.
He called on local and foreign investors to enjoy the full benefits of the enabling environment being created by his government by establishing their businesses in the state.
Amosun informed the captains of industry, who turned out in large numbers, that his government had purchased 13 state-of-the-art Armoured Personnel Carriers, 240 Hilux vans fitted with modern communication gadgets, among others and observed that the era of banks not opening for business was over in Ogun.
The governor said, “Power is crucial to business success. Investors can take advantage of the gas hubs in Olorunsogo, Onijanganjangan, Sagamu and Ota; and we are ready to partner with you to lay pipes to these gas plants.”
